Assisted Living RN Coordinator-Leland R. Smith Assisted Living
As the RN Coordinator, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. You are charged with carrying out the tenant personal care policies established by the community and as directed by each tenant’s physician and identified on the service plan.
Primary Duties include but not limited to:
Plan, Organize, Develop, and Direct the overall operation of the Leland R. Smith Assisted Living at Wilton Retirement Community in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be directed by the Administrator and to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Market the community with the support and collaboration of the Administrator to inform surrounding communities, physicians, and health entities about the assisted living program and to identify and admit new tenants in need of services provided.
Participate in community surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directed.
Assist the Administrator in the recruitment and selection of assisted living personnel.
Ensure staffing is at adequate levels to ensure proper quality of care for tenants.
Perform daily rounds of the assisted living environment to ensure all assisted living personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable community standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the assisted living program.
Provide written and oral reports and/or recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the assisted living program.
Provide tenant and employee complaint/grievance reports to Administrator as required or as may be necessary.
Review staff communication and workflows to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the personal care provided, as identified on the service plan accordance with the tenant’s care and wishes.
Develop a written service plan for each tenant prior to occupancy that identifies the personal care needs of the tenant as well as evaluation of service plan as need or change in condition.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid Iowa RN License
Preferred: 1 Year RN Management Experience
